We came as 2 families, family of 4and family of 2. It says kids under 16 eat for free. So when we booked our breakfast at the reception for next morning we said for 6 people, 4 adults and 2 U16. Receptionist wasnt able to state this on booking breakfast so he split 3 and 3 which was fine. In the morning went for breakfast that was booked for 8:15 sunday morning. Came to restaurant and waited to be seated. Told our rooms and the woman who was checking bookings said it was booked only 2 and 2. She wasnt very happy since we came in as the family in front of us was similar situation. So when came our turn she was even more angry as it wasnt booked right. There were plenty of empty tables to fit 6 people or even to split 3 and 3 or 2 and 4. But she said she is not ready to take 6 at the time. Even our rooms were booked as 2 and 4. So she sat us down at different area till she got table ready. She seem very stressed at the time when looking after us. We were thinking as it is kind of self catering we were fine to dine at the table we were seated. To continue we came from ireland so our accent is different than english. While we were eating another company came in with similar problem, but their accent was english. So she said your booking for breakfast says 4 instead of 6, but she says no problem will find you a table. Just bear with me a moment. Then when it came our turn to order unlimited hot food she kept throwing not happy faces again. As my son is a rugby player and is bulking up he placed quit big order. So she wasnt happy again. After that i heard her talking with other customers that some of the staff didnt turn up so little bit messy this morning.
Monday morning we booked our tables at 10am. There was a man who was taking orders. And everything was going smoothly with smiles at this face and very polite. I understand being understaffed but emotions shouldnt be shown so early in the morning. Also sunday food wasnt as good as on monday. Not sure was different chef but completely different. My step father ordered half of tomatoe and 4 slices of bacon both mornings. Sunday morning to add all 4 slices together i dont think you could call it even 2 slices, was more less crumbled small peaces. Monday he received proper 4 slices. When it is such a small portion i think should be looked after much better. Beds were comfy, but sunday morning toilet started to bubble lettl the air out, sewer seem to be blocked, room 11 ground floor. Room 3 ground floor tv was locked out so no tv, when told to reception they didnt know how to fix the problem.
