Carwyn Cellars stocks 200 beers, excellent local wine, top-shelf whisky and Mexican groceries. Duck into its adjoining bar, The Back Room, where you're greeted by large tables, a long bar and hanging glass bulbs. Here, the offerings are similarly impressive; 250 whiskies, 50 mezcals and 16 draught beers. When you're peckish, there's cheese and charcuterie boards and pizza is delivered from The Moor's Head nearby.
Carwyn Cellars is an independent family owned bottle shop located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are "no ordinary bottleshop" and engender diversity, choice, artisanship and individuality. Our philosophy flies in the face of an increasingly mono-cultured industry, dominated by a select few big brands and mega-corporations. We specialise in small boutique producers, with a good representation of local products as well as hard to find imports.
Our life-blood is craft beer; stocking well in excess of 200 different beers. You will also find an impressive collection of wine, spirits and ciders; which our friendly staff are excited to tell you about. Eduction is another focus of ours with beer/wine tastings every Friday night and our famous whisky tastings on the last Thursday of the month. Special events and master classes are also not to be missed!
