Doc Martin's, 86-88 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

Doc Martin's Doc Martin's, 86-88 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

Doc Martin's takes up the street frontage of the fashionable Collins Quarter, the perfect setting for a European-influenced aperitifs and digestifs bar. Named for one Doctor Martin who owned the building in the 19th Century, the menu is titled “Doc Martin’s Prescription" and it's broken up into vermouth, aperitifs, mistelle, pastis and amaro. The kitchen serves Modern European bar snacks and a la carte dishes.

European in influence and atmosphere, our newest addition, ‘the Doc’ is ‘in’ from 7.30am serving coffee, breakfast and lunch.  Doc Martin’s transforms from an elegant place to dine by day to a buzzing bar by night, featuring the most substantial range of aperitifs and digestifs in Melbourne.

Former occupant, Dr Robert Martin, had a knack for prescribing the perfect tonic for whatever was ailing you in his Collins St surgery. Years later, Doc Martin’s pub quenched the thirsts of Melbourne’s power brokers for years before the famous name was put to rest.

Today, with a substantial hat tip to both past tenants, Doc Martin’s has been reborn and is destined to add to the rich history of the terrace at 86 Collins Street. While the stethoscope has long since been retired, stunning aperitifs, digestifs and cocktails are now the Doc’s stock in trade. Head Bartender, Zeb Plater, and his team really know their stuff. If they can’t fix it for you, it’s unlikely anyone can.
