Once upon a time, it was a warehouse, but new life has been injected in the trendy Brunswick dining hall space of Host, where storm cloud grey plates are graced with silver mackerels and contemporary cuisine looks like a work of art. A modern decor of exposed bricks and timber frames form dining booths which face the theatrics of flames and whisks of the open kitchen.
Host offers a cozy space with a contemporary industrial aesthetic. Hidden in the back streets, find us on Saxon Street, parallel to Sydney Road Brunswick. Our space is adaptable to a variety of occasions. We have booths and a bar to suit the spontaneous diner, and those who stay for the long haul. Alongside a communal table, we have a private dining room suitable for larger groups and standing canapé events. There are always spots left available for walk-ins if you are unable to make a reservation. We have a heated undercover courtyard which is always available for guests on a walk-in basis.
The food is seasonal and changes often with both small and large sharing plates available. Our wine list is concise, celebrating mostly small and exciting producers both locally and from around the globe.
For Sunday lunch, we offer a generous four course prix fixe menu for $45pp. Check out the Sunday Sessions tab for a sample menu and to reserve a table.
