The Beamsley Project centre is part of the former Beamsley Methodist Church and is located between the historic market towns of Skipton and Harrogate between the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the fascinating Pennine moors of Ilkley and Haworth. Set in relaxing gardens within the Bolton Abbey Estate, it provides accessible walks for all alongside the beautiful River Wharfe.
The Beamsley Project is an independent charity with over 15 years of experience in providing tailored, self-catering holiday accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales for people with disabilities, their families and carers.
The centre accommodation is ideal for groups, care homes and larger families wishing to holiday together. Each booking has sole use of the building, which sleeps up to 24 people. Beamsley also has a smaller self-catering cottage on site sleeping up to 6 people, the cottage is adjacent to the centre but entirely independent from it having its own front and rear entrances.
There are 6 ground floor bedrooms, two of which have 4 beds and four have 2 beds, these bedrooms have independent heating and wash basins. They are close to toilets, bathroom and two wheel-in shower rooms. The bathroom has a ceiling hoist, adjustable changing table and closomat toilet.
On the second floor there are two further en-suite bedrooms one of which has a wheel in shower.
The catering standard kitchen has an adjustable height sink and hobs. There is a dishwasher, water boiler, hand wash and ample fridge and freezer space. Visitors also have use of the laundry room with commercial washing machine, dryer and drying racks.
The dining room can seat 30 people and there is also a large hall for recreation with TV, DVD, piano, table tennis and pool table. There is a covered way at the rear with tables and chairs, floor draughts game and table tennis.
Beamsley have their own wardens on site to ensure all your needs are met so that you can enjoy a relaxing stay.
