Set on Smith Street, Collingwood, Lee Ho Fook channels the likes of Sydney's Mr Wong to bring modern Chinese food to the people of Melbourne. The space gives little away as to the nature of the cuisine, decorated sparsely with washed out black and white walls, and round glowing lights strung by coloured wire. The menu is where it gets interesting – think tea smoked eggs, candied pork filled milk buns, and salads of salted duck and radish. Clever Asian fusion meals and banquets in a modern, buzzy space with orb lights and unadorned walls.
