Oter (Pronounced o-tay) is a sophisticated wine bar that has made its home on Melbourne's popular Flinders lane. Polished light gray finishings create the cosy minimalist interior, with a wide kitchen bar that's got hints of Japanese art. The menu is French bistro inspired but for the modern day diner, featuring the likes of sea urchin with macadamia puree. The Bar seatings are reserved strictly for the degustation menu.

The word ôter means “to remove” or “take off” and represents the dining and interior concept behind the restaurant. Diners will notice a pared back atmosphere, with all the unnecessary removed.
We are currently open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 5.30pm until late and Monday to Sunday for lunch from 12:00pm, while online reservations are recommended, there will be limited spaces available for spontaneous diners. An additional bar is open for cocktails and freshly shucked oysters.

We love the mains, but the desserts are simply too good not to mention. Try the daily tart selection or the selection of cheese & jam, both are excellent!
