Ancient as the history of Armenia itself, Armenian cuisine reflects the history and geography of this beautiful land, incorporating it with external influences. A mouth-watering array of spices and flavours combine with fresh meats, fish, vegetables and fruits to create unique flavours and aromas designed to tantalise all tastebuds.
SEZAR opened in late November 2013 by the crew behind The Black Toro in Glen Waverley. Offering a fresh and modern approach to traditional Armenian cooking techniques and flavours, SEZAR’s cuisine can be best described as New Armenian.
SEZAR’s enthusiastic and knowledgeable team are always there to ensure you have an amazing experience; they will guide you through a new style of food, inventive cocktails and a well-structured wine list. The kitchen will best accommodate for all dietary requirements including preparing gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options if prior notice is given. Most meat dishes are prepared using halal-certified meat and while the kitchen itself is not 100% halal, utensils are strictly kept separately to avoid cross contamination.
