We recommend that you order a few dishes to share, it’s the Japanese way. This way, you will have a more balanced meal. And most importantly, it’s more fun!
Wabi Sabi Salon is not just a Japanese joint, it actually looks Japanese! As soon as you step inside you’ll be transported to Tokyo. And not shiny plastic Tokyo either, but some kind of sweet little cabin neighbouring a temple. Wabi Sabi has a beautiful very wooden interior and an even more gorgeous outdoor setting, where you sit on the ground at low tables besides a rocky Japanese garden. We just love the menu because it isn’t jam-packed with a dizzying array of choices – just a good number of dishes done well. Don’t get us wrong, there’s plenty to choose from, but Wabi Sabi’s menu takes itself a little more seriously. Get some small dishes to share, you’ll want to taste as much as they have to offer. The Japanese Root Vegetable Tempura (battered goodness) is a must-have, along with the Wagyu Beef Sashimi (raw-style beef) and of course the gyoza(Japanese dumplings). Despite the traditional look of the place, it’s so funky that it fits right into its Smith Street home. Wabi Sabi is not to be missed!
