The Statesman Hotel is a Canberra institution and has been serving local, interstate and overseas guests for more than 30 years after being re-opened after renovations by Mr Bob Hawke in 1986.
Being a traditionally styled motel located in the geographical centre of Canberra, we are central to many of Canberra’s attractions including the National Zoo and Aquarium, Mount Stromlo, The Equestrian Centre, Floriade, Parliament House, National Arboretum, Telstra Tower, National Portrait Gallery, Museum of Australian Democracy, Questacon, The Australian War Memorial, National Botanic Gardens and The National Gallery of Australia.
Guests can dine in our newly managed H2O Restaurant in the Bistro and enjoy refreshments in our nostalgic Terrace Lounge. A small friendly shopping centre is located behind the Motel providing the services of a chemist, post office, cafes and a supermarket.
