The APO, 690 Ann St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, Australia

The APO The APO, 690 Ann St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, Australia

The APO was an apothecary in another life; its heritage home originally built in 1862. The restaurant and bar retains its historic features; leather and marble decor juxtaposed against exposed brick walls. The Fortitude Valley property fronts Ann Street and backs onto Bakery Lane, where the good times continue in the APO beer garden. The menu is dominated by contemporary share plates, to be enjoyed with Australian and European wines and inventive cocktails. The APO in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley is a watering hole full of cold beer, great wine, tasty bites, music and good times. Set in a heritage listed building dating back to 1862. We look forward to pouring you a beer soon!

Set in a heritage listed building of 1862, The APO is an ode to the building's original Apothecary Hall. The progressive menu and bar offering compliments the space which has retained its historic spirit. Functioning as a restaurant-bar duo, this is the place to come for a rhubarb and vanilla negroni (yes it exists) paired with a chicken liver eclair (yes they exist too!) plus some other nibbles and more hearty meals too. There’s a range of dishes varying in size depending on how hungry you are. Enough to suit even the most discerning diners. The late night menu is concise but if you stumble past at midnight and want a feed the toastie with raclette, comte and gruyere is exceptional. At The Apo the focus is not just on the food or drink, it’s all about food, drink, music, art and ambiance.
