THE HISTORY OF ALDERLEY EDGE IS RICH WITH MYTHS, LEGENDS OF DRUIDS, WIZARDS AND WITCHES. IT PROVIDED THE BACKDROP TO ALAN GARNER’S FAMOUS BOOK, “THE WEIRDSTONE OF BRASINGAMEN”, AND SEEMS TO ALSO MAGICALLY ATTRACT FOOTBALLERS, STARS OF STAGE & SCREEN AND, PUT SIMPLY, THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE. A RIGHTFUL HOME THEN, WHEN WE DECIDED TO MAKE OUR FIRST VENTURE INTO SUBURBAN PASTURES.
