Built originally as part of the Atholl Estate some 350 years ago, East Haugh House was lovingly converted into a personally run country house hotel in 1989 by the McGown family.
The beautiful 17th century turreted stone house boasts twelve individually designed bedrooms, including deluxe four-poster rooms with jacuzzi baths, the Red Drummond Suite with a conjoined movie room, and our deluxe superior room with its very own fireplace. There is also a Victorian private gate lodge within the grounds of the hotel which can be taken on a self-catering or dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Found just off the old A9 road, the hotel is perfectly situated for guests to enjoy beautiful woodland walks and riverside rambles or to have a leisurely browse around the shops and cafes of picturesque Pitlochry. All ingredients are locally sourced where possible and everything is freshly cooked to order. Our restaurant is recommended in the UK's Michelin Guide 2017, and regional winner of Best Informal Restaurant at the Scottish Hotel Awards. We are also proud to have been awarded Best Bar Food at the 2017 Scottish Food Awards, as well as a Gold Medal for Game Food.

Rooms
East Haugh House has twelve beautiful individually designed bedrooms, all named after classic salmon fishing flies. The décor and furnishings serve to enhance the peaceful and comfortable atmosphere of the hotel and the attractive grounds. Our different room types can be found below.
Each room has been lovingly maintained to preserve its original character and splendour, and care has been taken to recreate authentic period details. The original features have been tastefully offset with lovely fabrics, carpets, furnishings and colour schemes.
All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms with fluffy white towels and luxury toiletries. Some rooms have Jacuzzi baths, perfect for a luxurious soak at the end of the day. Each room comes furnished with a TV and free Wi-Fi access.
We have three dedicated ground floor rooms that are dog friendly, we charge £12.00 per dog per night. We also have disabled access and a walk-in shower in one of our ground floor rooms.
The Gate Lodge
Our beautiful private Victorian cottage is ideal for your next holiday in Highland Perthshire, just meters from the main hotel building.
Located just two miles from the bustling town of Pitlochry, this well-equipped luxury cottage is the perfect base for a comfortable and private home-from-home break.
The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms sleeping four, as either doubles or twins, and can also take extra fold-down beds for children. The large bathroom has a stunning roll-top bathtub with a hand-held shower, and the spacious living room has all you need for rest and relaxation: a warming wood-burning gas fire, 49" flatscreen TV with a DVD player, free WiFi and a lovely conjoined country kitchen. There is also a courtyard garden with seating as well as ample free parking.
