Tucked away steps from the French Market and Mississippi River in the heart of the French Quarter, the Hotel Villa Convento is a warm and cozy guest house, offering guests the personal service of seventh-generation New Orleanians, the Campo's.
Rumored to be the legendary House of the Rising Sun, this building is a creole townhouse dating back to the 1830s. Enjoy a cup of chicory coffee on the courtyard or be encapsulated by the sounds and smells of the French Quarter sitting on a balcony -- a stay at the Villa Convento will provide many memories, not just a place to rest your head.
Elegant, individually decorated rooms (without TVs) have period-style furnishings and distinct features such as balconies, exposed-brick walls, 4-poster beds and courtyard views. Suites add river views and separate sitting areas. Wi-Fi is free.
Amenities include a low-key bar/lounge, and a central courtyard with seating.
