The decor, staff and dishes at Edosei Japanese Restaurant are a lesson in Japanese attention to detail. Everything is carefully curated, from the fit out to the arrangement of the sushi and sashimi. The open kitchen showcases the catch of the day as well as the chefs hard at work. The signature dish is "kawara soba", grilled green tea flavoured buckwheat noodles topped with strips of beef and omelette.
The restaurant serves mouth watering Sashimi and Sushi but also original dishes like Kawara Soba. This dish is grilled green tea flavoured buckwheat noodles topped with succulent strips of beef and omelette. It is served on a ceramic plate (Kawara) which has been imported especially from Japan. The noodles can then be dipped into a sweet soy based soup. This dish originates from Shimonoseki Japan, our home town. Legend has it that Samurai warriors first came upon the idea of eating noodles from ceramic rooftiles (Kawara) after a battle.
EDOSEI was founded here in Perth by JRCS, a Japanese marine automation manufacturing company based in Yamaguchi Prefecture and Tokyo Japan. JRCS has a strong link with the food industry here in Australia and introduced it’s first EDOSEI restaurant to Sydney in the early 80’s, which kindled the boom in sushi that is still so popular today. EDOSEI's chefs prepare supreme quality dishes for both Japanese and Australia customers and for anyone with a love of excellent and truly authentic Japanese food.
