Our peaceful, adults only, site is tucked away on the banks of the River Tweed, just inland from Northumberland's magnificent sandy beaches.
Take a walk along the river where as well as leaping salmon and trout, you may well see otters, kingfishers, swans and ducks. You might even see a seal! Its a short riverside walk to Paxton House with its beautiful gardens.
Places of interest within around half an hour are Berwick, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Alnwick Castle and gardens, Coldstream, Kelso and Melrose. Edinburgh is 50 minutes away and the famous Chainbridge Honey Farm is right next door!
Situated right on the Scottish Border, Chainbridge Camping and Caravan Site is the ideal base from which to explore this historic and beautiful part of the world.
Campers please note that our pitches are now hard standing, topped with 10mm pea gravel, so if you are worried about your ground sheet, please bring a suitable foot print. Also we need to know tent size, to allocate a suitable pitch! Thank you.
Visits that include part of a Bank Holiday weekend must be for a minimum of 3 nights.
Please note we do not take groups of tents, or single sex parties.
As we are an adult only site the minimum age is 18.
