This elegant Torquay hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Torquay on the English Riviera, sitting majestically on the headland looking out to sea. It is set in two acres of magnificent ground and offers stunning views across Torbay with numerous coastal walks nearby.
Set on 2 acres of land, this refined seafront Victorian villa was originally built as a private home for the Russian royal family. It's 0.8 miles from Torquay town centre and 1 mile from the Princess Theatre.
The individually decorated rooms have en suite bathrooms, free WiFi, TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities.
Breakfast and parking are complimentary. There's an elegant restaurant, 2 lounge bars and a dance floor, plus an indoor heated pool, a sauna and a gym. The hotel puts on entertainment every night and caters for weddings, parties and business events.

There are designated disabled parking bays adjacent to the front entrance, all public rooms are on the ground floor with a level entrance to the hotel. The reception desk is 1045 mm high. Assistance with luggage is always available, and this can be collected from/delivered to your car if required. The foyer is all on one level. The gardens are level in places, although it is necessary to use two flights of 6 steps to access the garden from the patio.

The hotel has 1 bedroom specifically designed for use by guests with impaired mobility, other rooms, however, are not but our Staff are more than happy to discuss your particular requirements. Being an older building, bedrooms vary in terms of shape and size. However, many will be suitable for guests with minor disabilities so do please feel free to call us and let our Reception team assist you.

Public Areas / Dining / Room Service
The Foyer, Grand Lounge Bar, Hydro Bar, Reception and The Romanoff Restaurant are all on one level. One lift serves all floors, although some bedrooms are accessed up some steps; please let us know at the time of booking if you have any particular needs in this respect. Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s toilets are both located on the ground floor close to reception, as is the Disabled WC. Background music does play, albeit at a low level. There is nightly entertainment in the Hydro Bar. The hotel does not have a hearing loop installed.
There is access to the patio area surrounding the outdoor swimming pool via a ramp that leads from the car park, located outside the hotel’s front entrance. There are then 3 shallow tiled steps which allow entry into the shallow end of the pool. There is a handrail located by these steps.

All information such as menus, bedroom information and tariffs can be printed in larger fonts if so required. Service dogs are accepted at the hotel by prior arrangement. There is an “Aid to Living” shop in Paignton from where it is possible to hire a range of specialist equipment; we can provide their details on request.
