Accessible Rooms & Bathrooms / Accessibility
Wild (New Forest) Horses couldn't drag you away from our bedrooms. Surrounded by what could be the most stunning forest in the south and without doubt some of the finest accommodation in the New Forest, our stylish boutique bedrooms are the perfect place for a relaxing break. Burley is commonly known for its association with witches and there is certainly something magical about this New Forest Hotel.
With twenty beautiful bedrooms, including cosy, comfy and indulgence, it's a great base for exploring the beautiful local area. Whatever bedroom you choose you'll sleep in the finest Egyptian cotton bedding and have quality Teapigs teas, Nespresso coffee, Wi-Fi, Cole & Lewis products and fluffy towels at your disposal.
The 20 rooms boast high ceilings, period fireplaces and feature bay windows or characterful casements. Some walls are covered in Victorian-style wallpaper, others are painted in Farrow and Ball colours. Bathrooms contain either metro-tiled rainfall showers or large free-standing bathtubs. Bathrobes are presented in a hessian bag, the minibar is attractively displayed in a wicker picnic basket. Teapigs tea and a tin of homemade shortbread are a welcoming touch.
Our comfy easy-access ground floor Rufus Room has plenty of space, private parking and its own front door & private terrace. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Public Areas / Dining
An outdoor pizza oven seduces diners into the garden on a hot summer's day. In the winter the Sunday roast is popular for miles around (recommended to me by a Lymington local). At other times the menu features local produce such as New Forest venison carpaccio or potted duck with spiced pear chutney to start, or mains of Owton's game faggots with parsnip mash and port jus or wild mushroom risotto.
Breakfast consists of a small buffet of pastries, fruit and cereals with an attractive menu of treats such as Eggs Kingston (smashed avocado, toasted English muffin, poached free range eggs and hollandaise sauce). Expect the usual Fuller's tipples such as Honey Dew organic golden ale and Frontier lager alongside 25 gins in their gin and tonic menu.
