Accessible Rooms & Bathrooms / Accessibility

Filled with luxury and the subtle air of seduction. Urban chic spaces. Vast windows for watching a city come alive.

For friends, lovers, lone travellers and businesslike stays. Add a dining reservation to any of these room types when visiting to have the full Lowry Hotel experience.

Rooms are bigger than average for Manchester and have floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in wardrobes and huge comfy beds. Deluxe and superior rooms are exactly the same in size, décor and amenities but superior rooms have more inspiring river views. They are done out neutrally with grey fabrics and splashes of colour from a burnt orange or turquoise leather chaise longue in the window, which is framed by a statement curved lamp.

All standard rooms have a shower over the bath and are stocked with Elemis toiletries and fluffy robes. Look out for the painting of two fishermen in bathrooms, which is a detail from a Lowry painting.

Access for guests with disabilities?

There are nine accessible rooms which all interconnect with another room.

Public Areas / Dining

The River Restaurant and Bar are on the first floor of the hotel. If it’s sunny, head to the terrace over the river for a cocktail or glass of bubbles. A bar menu contains informal classics such as club sandwiches and salads while the restaurant has a more formal feel. However, the food isn’t pretentious and the á la carte menu contains favourites such as fish pie and roast chicken as well as pricier dishes such as a rib of Cheshire beef to share.

There’s a large breakfast choice of cold continental options, a hot buffet and food made to order.
