High Close Holiday Home Park High Close Holiday Home Park, Keswick CA12 4QX, UK

High Close is a beautiful holiday home park, set in some of the most stunning landscape in the Lake District and offering a tranquil and serene setting amongst the local flora and fauna. Our park is tucked away in Park Wood, alongside a sparkling stream where otters have been sighted and the park is one of the Lake District’s best kept secrets. Homes on the park are solely for the enjoyment of the home owners and their family and friends, which keeps the park a very quiet and peaceful place to come to. The holiday homes are perfect if you love star gazing too, as there is no light pollution in the area, so on a clear night the skies are literally breath-taking.

Red squirrels, foxes, deer and badgers can be seen around the park and the wide array of bird life in the park makes it a bird watchers paradise. We pride ourselves on ensuring that the wildlife in the park continues to thrive and come back year after year and our population of red squirrels - which can be seen frequently, are fed throughout the winter by park staff.

We are very proud of our park and we strive to manage the park for the mutual benefit of the holiday home user and the environment. This achievement has been recognised, as we have been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award from 2004 to date.

Our holiday home park is located in the stunning Northern Lake District, on the lower slopes of the stunning Skiddaw mountain range and close to Bassenthwaite village and Bassenthwaite Lake. Being within a short drive from the picturesque towns of Keswick and Cockermouth, we are located in a very convenient area for accessing a huge range of activities and great days out, as well as a great selection of shops, many of which are locally owned and able to offer a fantastic range of local produce.

There is wide variety of wildlife on the park and we encourage home owners to join in with putting up bird and squirrel feeders which brings the wildlife close to the holiday homes. Many home owners are keen bird watchers, nature lovers and photographers and they all enjoy the benefit of the natural surroundings.

We have a small team of very friendly and approachable staff who are always happy to help out in any way possible. This gives you the extra reassurance that if anything needs done to your holiday home when you're not here, we can be depended upon to take care of things for you. Another benefit to not letting or sub-letting the homes on the park is that out staff get to know you and so the service we offer always has that extra personal touch.

Our holiday home park is very unique because of it's setting and the thoughtful and well planned way that plots for the homes are designed. The environment plays a huge part in deciding where a holiday home is placed and this means that each plot and each holiday home is unique and you can play a big part in deciding where you would like your plot to be. We have a crystal clear stream running along the edge of the park and many of the holiday homes have dramatic views over the stream. Others are placed higher up to enjoy a wider perspective of the stunning lake district landscapes surrounding us and others prefer to be tucked away quietly in amongst the trees. Coming to view the park is highly recommended, as we offer such a unique holiday home setting and the tranquil setting needs to be experienced to appreciate just what a special place High Close is.
