Rydal Lodge Country House is a listed building with parts dating from the 16th century. It is an historic house situated in extensive gardens by Rydal Water with the River Rothay flowing through the grounds. Riverside seating in the summer provides an ideal setting in which to relax in the stunning scenery.
Situated conveniently close to Ambleside in the South Lakes, Rydal village is a conservation area and within easy reach of Grasmere, Keswick, The Langdales, Bowness, Hawkshead, Windermere and Ullswater - it is a great base for exploring The Lake District.

During the summer months The Garden Coffee Bar provides snacks, pastries and gateaux to enjoy with your favourite espresso coffee.
