Located opposite the Basilica de la Mercè, next to the eclectic and bohemian Borne neighborhood, the Catalonia Port hotel enjoys a magical setting . It is a building from the 18th century , in addition, it holds the title of Artistic Heritage of the City . Completely renovated, it opened its doors in July 2008 and shows a perfect combination of classicism and innovation.
The Born or Borne neighborhood where the Catalonia Port hotel is located is one of the oldest in Barcelona with great influence between the 8th and 15th centuries. Currently this neighborhood is fashionable and has exclusive shops such as designer boutiques, clothing ... and a wide assortment of restaurants and pubs to go out to eat, have a drink and dance. The hotel’s contemporary El Racó del Port restaurant opens from Monday to Saturday, serving seasonal Mediterranean cuisine. A varied buffet breakfast, available until 12:00 at the weekends, is offered in the dining room, and there is also a lobby bar. A free tea service, with drinks and finger food, is also available from 17:00 to 20:00.
