Not only are we ideally placed for you to explore the fabulous countryside on our doorstep we are the perfect place to explore the equally fabulous food and drink that these great counties have to offer.
The fields, fells and valleys are home to hundreds of specialist food producers, organic farms, micro-breweries and even the odd spring water bottler.
There are fourteen individually designed and decorated bedrooms at the Royal Hotel. Being an old building and arranged over three floors the rooms are far from standard shapes and sizes. In fact, no two bedrooms are exactly alike. We have therefore described and priced them all individually in our Tariff too.
All of our bedrooms are inclusive of breakfast, you can take a look at our Breakfast Menu to see what you might fancy.
The Royal Hotel offers Accommodation and can be described as a Bed And Breakfast or Pub Accommodation. Due to our location we are also a Lake District Restaurant With Rooms. Many of our guests stay with us for Hotel Breaks in our Boutique Hotel style individually decorated bedrooms.
Please note: The Royal Hotel does not have car parking facilities. If you require car parking, please contact the hotel who will instruct you further.
Supplement Charges: We understand that dogs are part of the family and many owners like to take their dog away with them. We allow well behaved dogs (at our discretion) in some bedrooms for a £10 supplement. We also allow dogs in some public areas of the hotel, please ask for further details. Rest assured that our bedrooms are cleaned to a very high standard so if you are not a dog person you won't even know theres one been in the room!
