Buffalo Bill Village is located in the heart of downtown Cody, Wyoming, only one mile from the Cody Dug Up Gun Museum, Buffalo Bill Center of the West and the Cody Rodeo. Just 52 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, you will find a place where visitors never run out of things to do.
Located 85 miles east of Yellowstone National Park, the town of Cody has a definite wild west ambiance. With daily gunfights, western entertainment and the nightly Cody Rodeo, it’s hard not to think back to the days when Buffalo Bill Cody roamed the streets. And although Buffalo Bill Village was constructed to house work crews that built the city, today this historic property also boasts modern amenities a wheelchair-accessible cabin.
Located near the center of town, Buffalo Bill Village is part of a larger resort complex that includes the adjacent Holiday Inn and Comfort Inn.

Room 365, which is actually a stand-alone cabin, is located near the back of the complex, behind the Holiday Inn. There is accessible parking near the sidewalk that leads over to the cabin, and ramp access to the front door. Inside, there’s good pathway access in the spacious cabin, that’s furnished with two 26-inch high queen-sized beds, a sofa, chest of drawers and a table with two chairs.
There’s plenty of room in the bathroom for even the largest wheelchair, as it has a full five-foot turning radius. It’s equipped with a roll-in shower with a hand-held showerhead and grab bars. The toilet is in a 36-inch wide alcove with grab bars on both sides. Other access features include a roll-under sink and a portable shower chair.
Although there aren’t any cooking facilities in the cabin, there is barrier-free access to QT’s in the Holiday Inn, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Buffalo Bill Village is the perfect place to base yourself while you explore Cody, as not only is it very accessible, but it’s located well away from the street, so it’s also pretty quiet. The animals seem to like it too, and it’s not unusual to see the resident bunnies hopping on the lawn between the wood-sided cabins. Top it off with a top-notch staff, and you have everything you could possible want in a property.
