Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter Accessibility
Where possible we make provisions to ensure the site is accessible for wheelchair, mobility scooter and buggy users. Please note car parks and some paths within the grounds are gravel therefore wheelchairs and pushchairs may find it difficult. If you require additional assistance, please ask a member of staff. Disabled toilets are located in the Walled Garden and Tea Room.
Level Access
There is level and step-free access to most outdoor areas and indoor venues. However should you need any further assistance, please ask a member of staff. Due to the historic nature of our site some areas within the Walled Garden and the Woodland Walk feature uneven terrain therefore suitable footwear should be worn.
Dogs
Dogs, apart from guide dogs and assistant dogs, are not permitted in the Walled Garden, the Woodland Walk, indoor venues including shops, within our Mini Land Rover course or at our Ocean View Pods. Dog owners are asked to keep their dogs on leads at all times in all other public areas and to please clean up after them.
Baby Changing Facilities
Baby changing facilities are located in the Tea Room and within the main Courtyard located behind The Milk Parlour.
Blue Badge Holders
We have a number of wheelchair and buggy access points and dedicated parking areas for blue badge holders.
School Groups
If visiting as part of a school group, our Education Team makes excellent provision for children with special needs. Schools are requested to contact the Education Team in advance on 028 28841 203.
Special events
Some of our large events at Glenarm Castle do require us to make changes to the accessible routes, but we always strive to continue to cater for those with access needs during these times.
