The Buccleuch and Queensberry Arms Hotel is a renovated Hotel in Dumfries & Galloway. Our cosy country hotel offers a classic country pub restaurant and beautifully finished boutique hotel rooms. Situated three miles from Drumlanrig Castle in Thornhill and only 90 minutes from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The BQA offers great food, open fires and a well-stocked whisky and wine bar. We serve up a hearty breakfast menu to kick-start your day including both a continental and hot breakfast selection. The Hotel has 12 bedrooms, a private dining room, a function room and resident lounge.

All our rooms have been lovingly restored to the highest of standards, each with its own personality and charm, to create an experience not to be missed. You will find homely furnishings, great beds, oversized showers and wonderful colour schemes to ensure a relaxing stay. It might take you a couple of visits before you can decide on your favourite room!

Your room booking is inclusive of a hearty full Scottish breakfast, and packages including dinner are available on request.

We have both our BQA Standard rooms and BQA Deluxe rooms available.

All 12 bedrooms within the hotel are fitted with flat-screen TVs. We also have two new stunning cottage bedrooms with disabled access on the other side of our courtyard garden. All bedrooms are ensuite with a shower, bath or both. Within the bathrooms, we use Molton Brown beauty products.
