Welcome to Brora Lodge, a comfortable modern Bed and Breakfast residence located in the historic town of Wigtown. Feel at home in our home as your base to explore the many sights and attractions of the Galloway area and beyond.
Our philosophy here is to give our guests the type of accommodation we ourselves expect, being a very clean place, with comfortable beds, a good shower, and a great breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Having spent several years making our home somewhere special for us and our guests, we feel confident we have now achieved our ambition.
All our guests staying more than one night have their rooms refreshed with a daily cleaning service.
We use only extra virgin olive oil where appropriate when preparing our cooked breakfasts, adding an extra flavour dimension to our delicious freshly cooked options.
Free high speed wireless Internet access is available for our guests.
We have a flagged area of hard standing for the parking of motor cycles, to help compensate for our mostly gravelled driveways.
Rooms
Brora Lodge has 4 modest sized bedrooms, one being a double-bed room and the other three are twin bed rooms. We are a non-smoking building. All the rooms are ground floor and feature:
Guests will enjoy a delicious freshly cooked breakfast, made with the best ingredients we can find. With a little help from you most vegetarian and vegan options can be provided. Breakfast is served in the conservatory dining room which overlooks the Bladnoch river valley, the Nature Reserve of Wigtown bay, the RSPB Crook of Baldoon reserve, and the Cree and Solway estuaries beyond. On a clear day you can see as far as the mountains of the Lake District in England.
A comfortable residents lounge is available for your relaxation where there is a 50inch HD Plasma TV with Satellite TV. We have books and games available should you wish to have a quiet time relaxing indoors.
We also have a Spotter Telescope for guests to use in order to fully appreciate the fantastic views behind us.
Whilst we are on one level within Brora Lodge, 6 steps must be climbed to enter the building, and we are sorry to advise that we do not have any disabled facilities.
