Recently refurbished to a high standard, our homely cottages offer you a unique opportunity to relax in this charming seaside village – whilst being the perfect base to explore Edinburgh (15 minutes by car or 40 minutes by direct bus) and the rest of the wonderful Lothians.
Mercat Cottage
Our charming self-catering accommodation, Mercat Cottage, is single level, with both bedrooms accessed by a single corridor. The cottage is adjacent to the main 17th century Grade A listed historic house, with private access and parking by the front door.
Sleeps 4 + 2, with two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and room for a further 2 people in the fold-down guest bed in the sitting room. The cottage has a fully equipped, open plan kitchen with a washing machine. The separate WC & shower room are both conveniently accessed from the main corridor.
Turret Cottage
Our charming self-catering accommodation, Turret Cottage, is split level, with the master bedroom accessed by a small flight of stairs. The cottage is adjacent to the main 17th century Grade A listed historic house, with private access and parking by the front door.
Sleeps 4 + 2, with two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and room for a further 2 people in the fold-down guest bed in the sitting room. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine. The master double bedroom, features an en-suite shower room and there is a family bathroom downstairs.
Cockenzie House has a number of resident artists and therapists on-hand should you wish to try an activity during your stay.
Both cottages are set in our beautiful listed gardens, with a host of architectural and natural delights, and are the perfect base for you to enjoy everything that Edinburgh and the Lothians has to offer.
Accessible - All Welcome
We welcome everyone and are fully accessible by wheelchair by the High Street entrance. Staff are always available to help visitors. We also have a lift available for all areas.

Read All ReviewsStarting with the parking, they dont have accessible parking at the hotel. However staff is very helpful and friendly which will make you the easy for you. They are having many different cottages to stay. Cottages were fully accessible by wheelchair by the High Street entrance. They also have lift for all areas which was quite helpful specially for disabled guests. Accessible toilets available. overall good to stay here. Recommendable to all.
