THE ROTUNDA ETHOS ISN’T COMPLICATED – GREAT FOOD AND A GREAT ATMOSPHERE
Our farm is situated in the remote heart of the Northumberland countryside. All our animals are grass fed and free to roam across acres of clover filled farmland. Since we opened in October 2008, we have served beef and lamb exclusively from our farm in Matfen, Northumberland.
Ian Scott our farmer breeds Limousin X cows and Texel lambs, and ensures that we only receive them when they are ready to come of the farm, not because the market says its time.
The meat is then hung here at Rotunda in our specially built hanging room and the Butcher, Claus, works to ensure the best quality meat and most interesting cuts are available for the chef to put on the menu.
