Bonhams Restaurant
Located within one of the world's oldest and most prestigious auction houses, Michelin-starred Bonhams Restaurant is the perfect Mayfair destination for lunch or simply to relax with coffee or a glass of wine.
Our Restaurant also affords you the opportunity to sample some of the world's great wines at affordable prices. Selected by Richard Harvey, Master of Wine and Head of Bonhams Wine department, and Charlotte
Logan Jones, our sommelier, the constantly evolving, eclectic list currently includes Burgundies from Sylvain Cathiard, Jean Grivot and Comte Lafon, Château Lynch-Bages 1985 and Cheval Blanc 1982.
At least twenty wines are always available by the glass or you can enjoy our excellent house wine, imported direct from the small Domaine Saint-Amant in the southern Rhone.
The chef
Appropriately for a chef running a restaurant in an auction house, Tom Kemble completed an art history degree before deciding where his destiny lay. Having worked in such eponymous restaurants as Hedone in West London and Faviken in northern Sweden, Tom takes a natural approach to dishes, cooking instinctively and sensitively with exceptional produce in peak condition.
The aim of our list is to offer a good selection of well-made interesting and affordable wines which complement Tom Kemble’s food. Many of the wines have come from our regular sales here in New Bond Street and we are constantly on the look out to buy in one-off parcels of exciting and rarely available wines. These can be served by the glass or 50cl carafe thanks to the two Enomatic machines we have installed and we hope you will take this chance to try some legendary wines.
