The Islay Frigate Hotel is situated on Tarbert main street overlooking the harbour, the hotel has been long established and our public bar is popular with locals and tourists alike. We have 6 rooms (recently refurbished), a public bar, large dining room and lounge.Under new management since 1st November 2013, Marion and John welcome all customers and guests, old and new. At the Islay Frigate Hotel, we love meeting new people and pride ourselves on being very welcoming.

On the ground floor of the hotel, we have a public bar and lounge. Our public bar is very friendly and popular with locals and tourists alike. You can enjoy a bar meal here, have a game of pool and indulge in our wide selection of drinks including local beers and whisky. FREE WIFI available throughout hotel. All residents receive a discount on meals.
Upstairs, you will find our picturesque beer gardenwith sunshine morning to night (provided the sun is shining!) Our Harbour View restaurant can also be found upstairs, with floor to ceiling windows providing panoramic views over Tarbert Harbour. This is also where we host functions and entertainment. We serve food in our bar, lounge, beer garden and restaurant every day from 1pm until 8.45pm.
Rooms
We have 8 rooms which have recently been refurbished. Each room includes a TV, storage space and tea and coffee making facilities. Prices start from £30 per person, prices include a cooked Scottish breakfast.
