That heritage is reflected in the fabric of the hotel itself, a magnificent Edwin Lutyens’ Grade II-listed neo-Georgian building with striking Corinthian pilasters and distinctive red brick lending a stately appearance.
At the start of the 20th century, the neighbourhood was home to The Bloomsbury Set – a clique of artists, writers and intellectuals notorious as much for their bohemian lifestyle as their creativity. Their legacy lives on in The Bloomsbury where peaked capped bellboys blend a debonair style with a chic nod to the past and in the elegant, quintessentially English Dalloway Terrace, named after Virginia Woolf’s eponymous character. We have unveiled our beautiful hotel after a summer of renovations! Our entrance has moved to the west side of our Lutyens’ heritage building. Follow our private laneway located to the right of the building and just off Great Russell Street, to a stunning new entrance. Here, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly doormen who will guide you to our new, stylish reception area and sitting room, created especially for our residential guests.
