Normann Safari bush lodge and vacation house is located in the lovely bush (only 1,5km from Kruger National Park bird’s distance!) and yet near to the town of Phalaborwa, the Kruger National park entrance and the Hans Merensky Golf Estate – all can be reached in approx. 10 min. by car. Phalaborwa has malls, post offices, banks, hospital, airport etc.

Normann Safari Bush Lodge is a small hotel with 6 twin rooms and our family unit with 2 twin rooms and sharing bathroom. Some rooms are in chalets with thatched roof others in main farm house with corrugated iron roof.

Surrounding the rooms there is a swimming pool, a boma with bar and a small garden. Out front, one can find a reception where internet access is available, as well as a recreation area and secure parking, and a sundowner pit.

In 2009 the Normann family left Denmark to follow an old dream of a small hotel, where the guests could enjoy calm and peaceful nature surroundings, interesting sightseeing and unwind. In the beginning Normann Safari was a bush lodge with 6 double rooms, now expanded with a family unit and vacation house.

At Normann Safari Bush Lodge we offer accommodation in 6 twin rooms with private bathroom and a family unit with 2 twin rooms and sharing bathroom. Around the rooms there is a little garden surrounding our tempting blue swimming pool. In our so called “Boma” (fenced area with a fireplace) we serve most of our meals. Especially at sunset and in the evening, the sounds of the bush and the sight of the beautiful South African stars can be enjoyed in our Sundowner pit. In our reception we have a small curio shop, a tiny library, coffee and tea facilities and an ice cube machine. Outside the reception there are lounge areas, dart board and parking. With only 8 twin rooms, we are a small and charming bush lodge providing a family orientated yet tranquil atmosphere. A wonderful highlight of the experience by your stay with us, is being able to enjoy the bush right on your doorstep when a variety of birds, antelopes and warthogs can be seen coming for a drink at the waterhole situated just beyond the garden.

Our motto is “Africa – for all” and refers to our accommodating for everyone; babies, youth, adults, elderly as well as disabled people are welcome as the lodge has ramps and walking paths, most rooms are without steps to the doors and there are showers in all of our rooms.

Furthermore Normann Safari offers accommodation in a vacation house fully equipped for self-catering and with own swimming pool, heated Jacuzzi, playground with swing and sand pit and parking. The vacation house is situated next to the lodge.
