Relax in the verdant tranquillity of the Scottish Borders at Little Swinton Holiday Cottages. Surrounded by the rolling Scottish countryside, these delightful period stone, single storey farm cottages are the perfect base from which to discover the magic and mystery of the Borders region.

There is plenty of space outside for guests’ vehicles and children to play safely. Well-behaved pets are welcome in all the cottages. The Courtyard is a new addition to the cottages, and is very luxurious. Standing adjacent to the farmhouse, it has its own drive with private parking and magnificent views of the countryside.

Less mobile and wheelchair bound guests will be delighted to note that The Courtyard and Cotoneaster Cottage are fully adapted for wheelchair users, with specially designed bathrooms plus a wheel-in shower with handrails.

Naturally all of the cottages are well presented and lovingly maintained by your host Sue Brewis. Golf, walking, cycling, riding and fishing are all available near by.

The majesty and grandeur of the region brings visitors from around the globe to experience the history, battle sites, natural beauty and day-to-day quality of life in this tranquil corner of the British Isles. Travel to and from the region is very easy with a multitude of transport options: The international airports at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle provide domestic and international travel; while the railway station at Berwick-upon-Tweed is the closest stop to the cottages on the mainline east coast London King’s Cross to Edinburgh line. Local bus routes also operate in and around the region, with a main terminus at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Travellers to the cottages without cars will find local taxi services in Berwick, Coldstream, Duns and Kelso.

Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle Cottage has all the charm and spaciousness of the other cottages at Little Swinton and can sleep up to four guests, in a king and twin bedroom. The Cottage benefits from a family bathroom with a separate shower room. Bright and well maintained throughout, the cottage has an attractive contemporary kitchen with all your essentials, appliances. The sitting room has comfy seating, a colour TV, DVD player, an open fire, and a dining area.

All of our cottages are warm, clean and comfortable and children and pets are welcome. Each cottage has plenty of parking, and there is lots of space to enjoy the great outdoors, both adults and children alike. The Cottages are all set within a tranquil location of unspoilt beauty, ideal for barbecues, relaxing and are perfect for getting away from the day-to-day stresses and strains of modern life!

Cotoneaster Cottage

Cotoneaster Cottage is also fully adapted and ramped for wheelchair users. Spacious and bright, it has three bedrooms and sleeps up to seven guests. The accommodation includes a king-size bedroom, with an adjoining single bedroom, it is ideal for parents with small children, and The twin room with an electric bed. The family bathroom is very large and has been specially adapted with a wheel-in shower and handrails as well as a bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes all your essentials, also includes microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer and fridge freezer. In the sitting room, you will find comfy seating, a colour TV, Sky connection (bring your own card) and dining space for seven. The cottage has complimentary WiFi Internet access, so you can keep in touch with the office, or plan your next day of adventure. The cottage also has an open fire.

The Courtyard is the latest luxurious addition to our portfolio. Fully ramped and adapted for wheelchair users, it accommodates up to three people with a double and a single bedroom. Naturally the cottage is very spacious allowing for free movement for wheelchair users, and has an adapted family bathroom with wheel – in shower plus cloakroom. The kitchen is fully fitted with all your home from home essentials. This charming self-catering cottage is located adjoining the farmhouse, with its own separate drive and private parking. Enjoy the magnificent views at any time of year, as the cottage has double-glazing and central heating throughout. The Courtyard also has complimentary WiFi Internet connection, which keeps you in touch with the office, or enables you to plan your adventures during your holiday.
