Bourne Hall, an elegant, family run, Country House Hotel and restaurant, set in mature grounds in Shanklin, Isle of Wight.

Originally built in the late 1860’s, said to be for one of Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting, the “house” still retains its sense of history whilst providing comfortable accommodation enhanced by its original Victorian features.

Uniquely located on an elevated position at the foot of Luccombe Downs, benefits both countryside and coastal Vistas.  The Hotel enjoys exquisite views, by day and night, across Sandown and Shanklin Bay, and onwards to Culver Downs.

Situated a few minutes walk south of Shanklin “old village” this 30 bedroom, 3 star hotel offers a range of classic and premier rooms, family rooms and suites, comprehensive leisure & health facilities, and a stylish restaurant.  Bourne Hall provides the ideal setting for  weekend special breaks or longer stays, private functions, weddings and business meetings/conferences.

Rooms & Suites

All premier rooms and suites, with the exception of the Lady Osborne suite, are located in the “original” Victorian Country House.  These rooms feature either four poster or sleigh beds, are more spacious and enjoy stunning views of the bay.

The majority of the classic rooms are located in the contemporary Albert of Beatrice wings, some with sea views, most with garden/countryside or courtyard views.

Family rooms are available to accommodate families with children over the age of 8 years.

All 30 rooms are fully en-suite, with colour TV including free-view, direct dial telephone, radio alarm clock, CD player, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. Complimentary internet access is available in the drawing room and at reception and wi-fi is available throughout most of the hotel.

For a celebratory weekend, or special occasion we are able to arrange something extra on arrival or in your room during your stay.  Ideas may include a fresh fruit basket, chilled sparkling wine or champagne, chocolates or flowers.  Special breaks may also include beauty therapies & treatments.

All rates are inclusive of a full English breakfast and full use of the leisure facilities and VAT @ 20%.

Attractive ferry inclusive transportation rates are available on all crossings to/from the mainland to the island.

THE LADY OSBORNE SUITE

The Lady Osborne Suite has a romantic galleried four poster bedroom accessed by a spiral staircase from the comfortable and spacious lounge below.

THE DUKE SUITE

The Duke suite is located on the ground floor in the “original” house and enjoys diagonal views of the Bay which can be seen “through” the trees within the grounds.

THE DUCHESS SUITE

The Duchess suite also located in the “original” house, and almost identical to the Duke suite, but on the first floor enjoying views from a slightly higher elevation.

PREMIER ROOMS

The four premier rooms at Bourne hall are all individual and enjoy many of the attributes of the Country House and enjoy magnificent views of the bay.

CLASSIC ROOMS
