Apple View is the west wing of TempleFarm which lies on the edge of the Somerset Levels in a little village called Chedzoy just outside Bridgwater.
Set on a working livestock farm between Orchards and lush pastures it is an ideal place to come and see real farm life and sample the special culinary treats created for you from our own home-grown produce regularly used in Breakfast. These include our own Free Range eggs, fruit, vegetables, lamb, beef, homemade bread and preserves and soon sausage bacon and pork. Rest in peaceful stylish rooms and sleep in the most comfortable bed ever between pure cotton sheets and warm woollen blankets all rooms are en-suite and one room has facilities for the disabled including an accessible bathroom.
“Apple View B&B is Bed and Breakfast at it’s best” – central to all Somerset has to offer – Glastonbury, Street (Clarks Village), and the Bath & West showground to the east, Exmoor, Dunster and Minehead to the West, Cricket St Thomas and Taunton to the South and Cheddar, Wookey Hole, the Mendips and Bath to the North.
Accessibility
Apple View is serviced by a ramp leading to French windows. We have a ground floor bedroom with double bed and also a single bed which can be removed to give total accessibility to the room. This depends obviously upon your own particular circumstance. The en-suite facilities have a roll in shower and seat and grab rails in shower area, by toilet by the sink. Toilet raisers and table raisers are provided if required. There are no steps at Apple View at all. Apple View is registered with The Good Access Guide (Accessible UK). It is my intention to offer a welcoming and hassle free environment to all my guests whatever their disability. Other
Bedrooms are furnished to the highest standards. Each room has a beautiful Victorian style bed fitted with Egyptian Cotton Sheets and pure woollen blankets. Rooms are equipped with extensive hostess trays, remote control televisions, hair dryers, clothes brushes and independent central heating.
All our rooms have en-suites which have a luxurious feel. They are tiled with beautiful blue and cream tiles and all the suites are finished with brass taps and fittings.
They have a good range of fluffy heavy towels including bath sheets and a heated towel rail is also provided for your comfort. An extensive range of toiletries are provided.
Guests are welcome to use the Guests Lounge and Family Garden whenever they wish.
We have a no smoking policy throughout.
Hostess Trays
Extensive trays are provided for your comfort and enjoyment. The contents may vary from time to time but broadly we provide:- Hot Chocolate, Fruit Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Ordinary Tea, Coffee, Decaf Coffee, Creamer, brown and white sugar, sweetener, biscuits, sweets and fresh milk.
As far as possible our beverages are supplied by our local tea and coffee merchants - Miles of Porlock in keeping with our support of local businesses and supply of local produce.
