Welcome to the new Seashells Resort at Suncrest. Our hotel has been a leading 4 star hotel on the Maltese Islands since its very first days and has kept its tradition of hospitality within the AX group throughout the years. We decided that it was time to give the Qawra hotel a face-lift so during the winter months the hotel underwent an extensive renovation programme. Its doors re-opened again on the 1st of April 2015. The hotel is located on the seafront for fantastic views of the Mediterranean and the best sunrise anyone could hope to wake up to. The Seashells Resort is conveniently located on the Salina to St Paul’s Bay Promenade, merely a few minutes’ walk away from the National Aquarium. You can make use of the very handy bus stop that is situated just opposite the hotel entrance. Take a left outside the hotel and you will immediately start walking towards all the hustle and bustle of Bugibba and Qawra, the main tourist hub on the island.
Access
There are three fully equipped and adapted rooms ensuring total comfort and freedom of movement. The main features include a walk in shower, toilet raiser , shower seat , handle bars in bathroom, air-conditioning in summer and central heating in winter with individual climate control, en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, mini bar, hairdryer, fire alarm detector, ceiling fan and a private balcony overlooking the town of Qawra. All adapted rooms contain twin beds and are also available for single occupancy. A third or fourth bed can also be added for triple/quadruple occupancy upon request. The hotel also has three rooms equipped with fire alarm emergency lights for hearing impaired guests. Your security is their main concern! Accommodation
The Suncrest Hotel boasts 453 rooms(24 of which have no balcony) and many are ideal as interconnecting family rooms, There are 114 triple rooms as well as 84 elegantly decorated Suites and 2 Presidential Suites. There are a variety of room types to choose from economy, family Units, seaview self catering, standard Inland, standard seaview, suite inland and suite seaview. All have minimum anemenities of en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, mini bar, hairdryer, ceiling fan, fire alarm detector, air-conditioning during the summer season and central heating during the winter season with individual climate control.
Facilities
The hotel has a large swimming pool and 2 small children’s pools, one with a fantastic fun slide. Services of sunbeds, sunshades, and towels are available.
At the Seashells Resort at Suncrest guests enjoy a rich and varied entertainment programme throughout the day. The animation team ensures that there is something to suit every taste and age. Activities such as aqua aerobics, water-volley, competitions, library hour and gentle exercises are organized regularly. There's also live music entertainment in the evening.
And to keep your children happy we also have different amenities that can be purchased or rented with your room in order to make your family's stay as enjoyable as possible. These range from purchasing a kid's gift to renting an interactive wirless console game to be in your room during your stay in Malta.
Activities Centre at a charge include: billiards, table tennis, video games, surfing, sailing, water ski, jet ski, and a professional diving school for beginners as well as experienced divers (PADI Divemaster). The leisure & fitness centre, located only 150 meters away from the hotel includes free use of indoor pool (heated during winter months), gym, Jacuzzi, squash court. A second outdoor Swimming Pool, sauna & massage are also available at an extra charge.
