The tranquillity and breathtaking natural beauty of Leitrim is one of Ireland’s best-kept secrets. At its southern tip, on the banks of the most scenic lough in the country, lies a very special place that has come to epitomise the popularity of Ireland as a global destination. This magical castle has been transformed from an incredible ancestral home, into a place where old-world elegance mixes seamlessly with unimaginable modern luxury. Eating, sleeping and exploring in an Irish castle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one that deserves to take place amongst the best of everything.

These superb three-bed cottages consist of two double rooms (one with en-suite bathroom), a single room and a family bathroom. Accommodating up to five people each, you can enjoy all the sights, service and splendour of the estate, in the comfort of a more homely environment. As well as all the towels, linen and toiletries you need each day, there is also a fully-equipped kitchen, a spacious family room and a TV and DVD player to keep you all entertained after dinner.

There’s nothing quite like staying in an Irish castle. From finishing the day by putting your head down on the finest linen, to waking up to the sight of the rolling lawns and a view of the tranquil lough, it truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To ensure it lives up to your expectations, our luxurious castle bedrooms are tailored to maximise your enjoyment.

While the furniture, fixtures and finishes exhibit the old-world elegance of the original residence of Lord Leitrim, you can enjoy the best of modern comforts including temperature-controlled air-conditioning, in-room electronic safe, HD television and even under-floor heating in your beautiful en-suite bathroom.

The staff greeted me on arrival and was friendly. I had requested for disabled room and was allocated room in east side of the Castle. There are steps or a slope into the rooms. The bathroom was easily accessible and shower was wheelchair friendly.
