Watergate Bay Hotel in North Cornwall has come to define a contemporary British beach holiday. We are set on a two-mile stretch of sandy beach, home to one of the best surf and kitesurf breaks in the country.

The sea and sand are your playground, while the hotel is your place to unwind. There are many things to do here, from learning to surf with Extreme Academy to walking the dog (we’re dog friendly) and flying a kite. In Swim Club, you’ll find a 25-metre indoor pool and treatment rooms. There are four restaurants to choose from including, on our doorstep, Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall.

Rooms

Our rooms have been designed to give you the right space to relax and enjoy beach-side living to the full. Barefoot comfort, fresh, coastal colours, all the right tech and the stunning ocean-side location makes it easy to completely unwind.

Each of our rooms are unique. Some are dual aspect, others have a stunning stand-alone bath in the window. Many rooms have awesome ocean views, others are front facing or rear aspect, but in every room you will be in no doubt about your coastal location.

The rooms have contemporary beach-house decor and stand-alone bathtubs. All have free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus DVD players, iPod docks, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Many have sea views. Family suites add bunk beds and minifridges.

Dining options include a contemporary American restaurant, a beach burger joint, a rustic bar and an Italian eatery. There's also a gym, spa treatments (fee), an indoor infinity pool and an outdoor hot tub. Free parking is available.

Accessibility

Our aim is to make Watergate Bay Hotel as accessible as possible for all of our guests.

Hotel

In the past two years we have installed three lifts to give access to all areas of the hotel and improved access to the entrance of the hotel itself.

We have five bedrooms which have been adapted to be more accessible, and two of these have fully accessible bathrooms.
 
We also have mobile mobility equipment which guests can request when needing extra physical support.

Our staff have undertaken training to improve their knowledge and understanding of disabilities and other issues including allergies.

Beach

The beach is fully accessible to wheelchair users and we have recently rebuilt the main steps to the beach to aid ambulant disabled users.

Parking

We have allocated disabled car parking at the rear of the hotel.
