Just 50 meters from the sea, and offering some of the best sunsets in the YHA network, YHA Treyarnon Bay is a lively, medium sized hostel on the north Cornwall coast. From gig nights to surf lessons, the hostel has something for every hour of your day for all ages, and is now better than ever thanks to a winter refurbishment completed in April 2017. If you’re tired out or just want to relax, the beach is only a few minutes' walk away. The hostel has its own newly revamped bar which is very popular with both hostel guests and local residents, a great café/restaurant and even its own ice cream shack, so you may not want to go anywhere else during your visit. Should you want to get away for the day, Padstow is only four miles away and the Eden Project is only a 45 minute drive.
If camping is your thing, YHA Treyarnon offers several pitches for you to bring your own tent as well as our luxurious bell tents which are fully kitted out with beds and furnishings - perfect for glamping!
Treyarnon Bay has a popular, family friendly beach and is a great spot for bodyboarding and for surfing. The hostel is also close to a number of other beaches and bays which are ideal for surfing at all levels as well as swimming, bodyboarding and more.

The Hostel
The hostel has 68 beds with a number of en-suite and double bed rooms available.
Room breakdown is as follows:

There is also camping on site with space for up to 12 people. Alongside it’s own café and bar, the hostel has a self catering kitchen available to all residents. There is also a newly revamped resident and group dining area. The hostel has a rec room with games and books plus a laundry and drying room. In the winter, you will find a fire blazing most nights.
Bell Tents
Get all the fun of camping but without any of the set up stresses with these beautiful bell tents - part of the YHA Glamping experience. These spacious tipi-like tents are fully kitted out with a double futon bed and three single futons plus all bedding and can sleep four or five people. They also have eco-friendly solar lighting and comfy bean bags for you to chill out on during the day plus bedside tables, a coffee table, rugs and soft flooring.
There are 10 tents available at YHA Treyarnon - four standard and six premium - and bell tent guests will have full use of the camping facilities. Premium bell tents sleep four people and have the addition of a woodburner to keep you cosy. YHA Treyarnon's bell tents are available to book for stays between May and the end of October.
Please note that camping is sold per person and not per pitch and so, during the booking process, you will need to select the number of people that you wish to camp.
This campsite has it all - it's expansive and flat, has a beautiful sea view and year round amazing sunsets. There is space for 40 people.
Facilities
We've recently improved our camping bathroom facilities. We now have four larger bathrooms, each with a toilet, shower and sink, and two other toilets with basins.
Campers can use the self-catering kitchen inside the Youth Hostel.
Guests are welcome to use our gas BBQ facilities or to bring their own disposable ones.
