Combas Farm is a 17th century farmhouse, located in a wonderfully secluded valley, with a beautiful garden, unspoiled views and many attractions nearby.
Our position is unique being close to Croyde village, vast sandy beaches and coastal paths. A few minutes walk down a farm track brings you to the centre of Croyde village (it can be muddy – bring your wellies). Walk to the top of our hill for stunning views of both bays and Lundy Island. On a clear night, one can indulge in a little stargazing; a rare treat.
Accommodation
Your bed and breakfast accommodation will be in one of our four rooms. The farmhouse has two family/twin rooms and two doubles. All rooms are well furnished and maintained to a high standard and there is free Wi-Fi available throughout.
Camping
Camping at Combas Farm has been running for just as long as the B&B. With no advertising and only word of mouth recommendations, our campers come back year after year, some even going back three generations which says a lot about this very special place. The peaceful fields are tucked away in a secluded valley away from the hustle and bustle of Croyde, yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and a 20 minute stroll to Putsborough beach. This is the perfect escape. Watch the stars at night and fall asleep trying to catch the sound of Putsborough’s crashing waves.
With four fields to offer, there’s plenty of space to pitch your tent or park your van. One field in particular offers the most spectacular view across the fields to Putsborough sands, Woolacombe bay and even Wales on a clear day.
Five star facilities in a newly converted barn are a recent addition to the farm within the last few years. Slate work tops (better than Gwen’s kitchen – much to her annoyance), traditional Belfast sinks, giant shower heads, fridge, kettle and spare sockets add a touch of luxury to the standard camping experience.
This hidden gem is like no other and well worth a visit, if only for a night.
