The Caerwylan has been entirely rebuilt to create 24 comfortable, individually designed en-suite bedrooms, and new public areas.

The Caerwylan is a friendly, privately owned 3 star hotel with a Visit Wales Gold Awards  in 2014, 2015 and 2016. We are situated in a unique location on the East shore of Criccieth’s Esplanade. The hotel is a landmark Victorian building which faces south with stunning views over the main beach, Tremadog Bay and towards the ruins of Criccieth Castle. The Caerwylan probably enjoys some of the best seaside views in North Wales. The minimum age for children to stay at the Caerwylan is 12.

We have 24 comfortable, contemporary, en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has been individually designed and many of the bedrooms have lovely sea views.

On the ground floor of the hotel there is a relaxing sea facing lounge, contemporary bar with cask beer and new ladies, gents and disability toilets.

The Caerwylan is an ideal base to explore Criccieth, the beautiful beaches of the Llŷn Peninsula, Snowdonia and the many famous steam railways, castles and golf courses of North Wales. Criccieth is influenced by the warm Gulf Stream sweeping across the Atlantic Ocean from the distant Caribbean. With a southern aspect the two beaches are a mixture of sand and pebble with outcrops exposing rock pools at low tide. The bay is visited regularly by porpoises and swimmers bathe throughout the year in the mild waters. A gentle stroll takes you to all the town amenities.

Our 24 comfortable, contemporary, en-suite bedrooms have been rebuilt to a high standard. We have a wide selection of beds: super king, king, double, twin and single. All bedrooms have double glazing, central heating, flat screen digital TVs, tea & coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones and a hair dryer. Every en-suite has a power shower (the majority also have a bath), WC, hand basin, shaver point and toiletries .
