An ideal area for walking holidays, Bamburgh is a popular central location for people exploring St Cuthberts Way, cycling the national cycle routes, exploring the historic houses and Northumbrian Castles or simply relaxing on the beach.

The Sunningdale is a small family run hotel with double rooms, single rooms, twin rooms and family rooms, offering bed and breakfast accommodation as well as short breaks and dinner bed and breakfast deals at certain times throughout the year. We have a superb restaurant in the hotel offering excellent quality food. We offer child friendly holidays and we are also one of Bamburgh Village’s few dog friendly hotels, so you can bring the whole family!

The Sunningdale has 21 en-suite bedrooms, all of which are comfortably furnished and include digital televisions and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries.

Our accommodation in Bamburgh Northumberland is of a high standard, and is constantly being improved –  we are sure you will enjoy your stay with us here at The Sunningdale Hotel, Bamburgh.

We have double rooms, twin rooms and single rooms, and a range of family rooms to cater for families of  3, 4 or 5 people. We can also provide cots where required.

Bedrooms in The Sunningdale are situated across three floors, with 3 ground floor rooms including a suite, plus first and second floor rooms.

Our ground floor suite is a large double room with private conservatory style seating area, large walk in shower room and digital television. It benefits from superb afternoon sunshine in the seating area, and with comfortable chairs is the perfect place to relax and refresh for the evening. The room is suitable for guests in a wheelchair with assistance from a companion.

We have a large ground floor Superior Double Room with king size bed – this is a large spaciaous room and is ideal for those bringing young children requiring a cot or indeed those looking for extra space – perhaps bringing a dog.  We also have a large Premier Twin / Double ground floor room, beautifully refurbished offering  light spacious accommodation.

We have superb top floor premier double rooms,  refurbished in a boutique style with top quality furnishings. The rooms have  stunning views of Bamburgh Church and the coast towards Holy Island.

The majority of our double rooms are Superior Doubles. they are on the first floor of the hotel and enjoy superb views, some of Bamburgh Castle and some into the beautiful village itself.  The rooms have all recently been refurbished to a high standard.

Our family rooms cater for families up to 2 adults plus 3 children. They are spacious rooms all with excellent views of Bamburgh coastline.
