Coll Bunkhouse offers excellent hostel accommodation in the Inner Hebrides. Experience the west coast of Scotland at its finest with beautiful beaches, amazing wildlife and unspoilt wilderness all on your doorstep.

The bunkhouse is small and cosy, with 16 beds in two mixed dorms of six and one room of four – ideal for groups, independent travellers and families. The building is brand new, with a fully equipped kitchen and modern facilities throughout. Whether you’re looking for an island adventure or a quiet place to relax, a warm welcome awaits. The beauty of Coll is that it’s a hidden gem amongst Scotland’s islands and away from the regular tourist trail. Getting here is an adventure in itself! But once you arrive you can take your pick of beaches to walk to (you might be the only one there), go wildlife-spotting along the coast or take advantage of the fine food and drink available in the village.

Sleeping up to 16 people, the bunkhouse has two mixed dormitories with 6 beds in each and a four bed dorm which can be booked as a twin, a triple or a quad. All rooms have a wash basin, private lockers with ample storage space, and individual reading lights by each bed. Bed linen is provided upon arrival and towels can be hired from reception or requested when booking online. Free wireless internet is available throughout the building.

The bunkhouse has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with everything you will need to allow you to be self-catering during your stay. There is plenty of dining space to allow groups to eat together after a day exploring the island. The lounge makes a great space to socialise, stocked with books, games, plasma-screen TV and comfy couches so you can sit back and relax.

As you would expect for a modern hostel, hot showers are readily available, offering hot water all day long. The bunkhouse comes complete with laundry facilities and drying room, perfect for drying off those wetsuits and walking gear when the weather’s not so great (sometimes it rains!) or after a day at the beach.

The building has been designed to allow disabled access, including level access throughout, accessible car parking, accessible WC and shower facilities with grab rails and seat. We have one accessible bedroom and the kitchen, corridors and laundry room all incorporate space for a turning circle for wheelchair users.

I was travelling for business and stayed at this bunkhouse for one night. It was highly recommended by one of my family member as they provide disabled accommodation. They had single accessible room and i got that luckily. It was nice room with all the required amenities. Bed was at good height and very much comfortable. Bathroom had shower facilities with grab rails and seat. Rooms and common areas were immaculately clean. The bunkhouse has all the facilities you’ll need and the staff are a fantastic. Highly recommend when taking a trip out to this beautiful island.
