Welcome to The Hollies, an Appleby-in- Westmorland 4 star B&B and Self Catering Cottage in the heart of the Eden Valley, Cumbria. The Hollies is a Victorian home which has been tastefully modernised for the 21st century, while keeping or adapting some original features. We have focused on creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere where guests can choose to stay in the main house and be treated to a locally sourced full Westmorland breakfast, or alternatively hire the adjoining accessible self catering cottage to come and go as they please, enjoying the surrounding landscape and locality.

Bed and Breakfast

We have two rooms, one double, and one twin/double, each with en-suite shower room. Furnished in traditional style with bed, wardrobe and dressing table, our rooms offer beautiful views of the hills and 3 acres of surrounding gardens and woods, which you are free to explore. 

Our Bed & Breakfast rooms are both on the first floor up the sweeping Victorian staircase.  If you need a room on ground floor level, we suggest you book the ground floor of our self-catering cottage. Each room comes with hospitality tray, HD TV with freeview and WiFi internet access.

Self Catering Cottage

Holly Lodge is a charming holiday cottage located in the Eden Valley on the edge of the historic market town of Appleby. It has a fully accessible ground floor & sleeps up to 7 adults in 3 bedrooms. Holly Lodge was fully refurbished in Spring 2015 & has a Visit England 4 Star Gold rating with National Accessible Scheme rates of M2, H2, V1
