The Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle is a grade 1 and 2 Victorian listed building boasting elegant architecture, officially opened by Queen Victoria in 1850. Today, we offer spacious rooms, an indulgent bar and restaurant, an indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness centre within its iconic walls.

With a number of function rooms available for up to 200 delegates, our period features and modern comforts make for an inspiring space that is further complemented by our stellar service.

Our property has been a landmark in its own right since its construction in the 19th century and has had everyone from Laurel & Hardy to Muhammad Ali checking in to its luxurious suites. Now a grade I and II listed building, The Royal Station’s interiors boast 21st century facilities with 144 stunning bedrooms, expertly equipped leisure facilities and a host of event spaces that ooze historic charm. Limited parking is available towards the front and rear of the hotel, although guests must register their vehicle on arrival to avoid a chargeable fee. Please note, the hotel cannot reserve parking bays in advance.
