The Talbot Hotel is not just the centre-piece of our family's Fitzwilliam Estate but central to Malton's food revival itself. Our vision was to create a Hotel with exceptional service, really comfortable rooms and the most delicious Yorkshire food and drink.

Rooms

Ryedale rooms

At the Talbot our Ryedale rooms are compact, yet spacious and have the benefit of a walk in shower rather than a bath.

Of these three rooms, two have kingsize beds whilst one is conveniently located on the ground floor and has a custom bathroom that is designed with wheelchair access in mind, this room can also be made up as a twin room if desired. Please note this room is located on the ground floor within the hotel but only accessible via wheelchair by an external path as routes inside the hotel have steps.

Malton rooms

Our Malton rooms have a minimum of a kingsize bed and luxurious bathrooms with marble flooring and baths with powerful overhead showers. With individual design features and a range of outlooks there is a room for everyone.

Norton rooms

Our Norton rooms are large double rooms with super-kingsize beds, many of which can be turned into spacious twins should you require. All our Norton rooms are designed with individual features and luxurious marble bathrooms, all of which are equipped with a monsoon shower over a traditional bath.

Feature rooms

The Talbot Hotel boasts four luxurious feature rooms all of which have their own unique charm: Langdale, Lambton, Rockingham and Watson. Each room has been individually designed and is upholstered to its own theme with unique wall paper and colour schemes.

All of our feature rooms are appointed with 6ft beds (Rockingham has a four poster bed), garden views, feature artwork, luxury marble bathrooms with shower and bath. Original room features including chandeliers, fireplaces and freestanding baths.

Junior suite

The Nantclwyd room is a rather special feature suite with four windows overlooking both the hotel garden and lawn areas producing a very light and airy room.

The suite boasts an open-plan lounge area with original fireplace and large mirror, a 6ft four-poster bed plus a luxurious marble bathroom with freestanding bath and separate monsoon shower. Definitely a room worth staying in!
