A true historic Canadian icon, the Prince of Wales Hotel offers an experience like no other. Views from the hotel lobby and lawn are magnificent panoramas of Waterton Lake and the surrounding mountains in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. Located just north of Glacier National Park, Waterton makes up the other half of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and is a must-visit location on your Glacier vacation.

Completed in July 1927, The Prince of Wales Hotel is located on the bluff overlooking picturesque Waterton Lake and the town of Waterton, Alberta. The hotel was built as an extension to the chain of hotels built by the Great Northern Railway near the turn of the century. The notorious winds in Waterton set back construction wreaking havoc on the site twice, but a feat of engineering ensures the building is safe and sound.

This stately hotel, named after Prince Edward, offers 86 guest rooms, with a variety of bedding arrangements available. Guests have a choice of either mountainside or lakeside views.

Inside the Prince of Wales, you will find well-appointed rooms and a stylish lobby with nods to history. For your convenience, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel. For your special getaways, inquire about the Prince and Princess Suites, spacious, luxurious rooms designed to make you feel like royalty.

The Prince of Wales Hotel is situated, is about a three hour drive from Calgary. But this hotel is unsuitable for the disabled friendly user as they don’t provide any accessibility needs. The parking slot was horrible, no designated disabled parking. Not recommend to disabled user.
