The Lawton has 64 modern and attractively decorated bedrooms. Choose between double, twin, family or single rooms – all providing colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and either a private bathroom or shower room.

Access Statement

The Lawton is situated in the town centre of Blackpool, a 5 minute walk to the Tower, shops and Promenade.

Both Blackpool North Train Station and Talbot Bus Station are 10 minutes away by taxi. There is a taxi rank directly outside both stations.

Accessible taxis are available locally which we can pre-book for you.

The front of The Lawton can be accessed either by 4 steps (16-25cm height, 29-49cm depth) or a 1:15 ramp, both with hand rails.

Luggage can be dropped off at the front of The Lawton (5 minute unloading on double yellow lines). Reception staff will then direct you to parking, either our open air car park at the rear of the hotel or additional parking off-site. Please note, the access to the rear of the building from the car park is via a flight of steps.

The reception is located to the right as you progress through the main entrance. The reception area is split level connected by 2 steps. Seating and clipboards are provided for ease of check-in at the lower area.

A portable hearing loop is available at reception.

The dining area, bar and easy access toilet are all situated on the ground floor level.

Wheelchairs and mobility vehicles can be stored and charged overnight on the ground floor.

The 8 person passenger lift is situated opposite the main entrance and internally measures 150x110cm.

On the first floor rooms 109 and 110 are easy access bedrooms. These each have widened doors, a bath with grab rails, a toilet with grab rail and turning space in both the bedroom and en-suite for a wheelchair.

Further rooms are available with level entry showers.

Some bedrooms are only accessible via 2/3 steps. If you would prefer either a room directly accessible from the lift or a ground floor room please advise on booking.
