Solsiden is one of Trondheim’s most popular and pulsating areas, with a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Feel free to borrow a bike from the reception and explore the surrounding area. With its flexible meeting facilities, this hotel is also perfect for meetings and conferences.
Scandic Solsiden has a lovely lobby bar and in the summer we open up the roof terrace for our guests. If you wish to eat in our restaurant, we have a capacity for 100 people, and the location in the hotel’s atrium is perfect for meetings or events. We have flexible meeting facilities divided between 10 meeting rooms with a capacity from 4 to 110 people. Free WiFi is offered to all hotel guests.
When you travel to beautiful Trondheim, we recommend that you borrow a bike from the reception and explore Solsiden or a trip along the river Nidelven. Take some time to try “Trampe”, the world’s only bike lift. Put on your running shoes for a jog, bring your fishing rod or enjoy a refreshing bath by Ladestien, a popular and historical outdoor space with views over Trondheimsfjorden. For groups, we can organise excursions to the idyllic island Tautra, with the possibility for beer tastings. The hotel is located a 30-minute drive from Trondheim airport.
